The Asian Boxing Championships began in Jordan. Men and women in different weight categories will take part in the sporting competition. The competition was organized by the Asian Boxing Confederation and JBA. Prior to the competition athletes were offered an acclimatization period to get used to new conditions. For this purpose there was organized a training camp for athletes from 14 to 29 October.
Competitions at the Championship will be held in 13 weight categories for men and 12 for women. This large-scale sporting event will be the second Asian championship in the Jordanian capital this year after the junior boxing competition.
Turkmenistan will be represented at the Asian Championships by 9 well-prepared athletes who went to the Championships accompanied by 2 coaches. The competition will continue until November 13.
