Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan to meet on September 19

The regular meeting of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan will be held on September 19, 2024 in Ashgabat in the Palace "Maslahat köşgi" according to the Resolution of the Presidium signed by the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The meeting will be held on the eve of the celebration of the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence and will be devoted to summarizing the results of the work done and identifying priority tasks for the future. To hold the national forum at a high level, an Organizing Committee has been set up to carry out comprehensive preparatory activities.

On August 20, a meeting of the Presidium of the Khalk Maslakhaty was held, where Hero-Arkadag emphasized the importance of joint discussion of important tasks as an original tradition of the Turkmen people. On the same day, a meeting of the Council of Elders of Halk Maslakhaty and under the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charity Fund was held to consider organizational issues.

For eight months of 2024, GDP growth rate amounted to 6.3 percent, wages increased by 11.9% compared to the same period last year. New facilities were put into operation: International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs in Ashgabat, facilities of the State Energy Institute in Mary, schools and kindergartens.

The year 2024 has been declared the International Year of Peace and Trust, within the framework of which efforts are aimed at the dynamic development of the state and society. The year is also marked by the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality - the 79th session of the UN General Assembly unanimously adopted the Resolution "Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan".

It was proposed to prepare a draft Constitutional Law "On Legal Basis of Peace and Confidence Policy of Neutral Turkmenistan" for legislative fixation of foreign policy priorities. Decisions were signed to approve the composition of the Council of Elders of Khalk Maslakhaty and the Charity Fund for Children.

The implementation of the National Program of Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan for 2022-2052 and the construction of Arkadag city are ongoing.
