Turkmenistan's Khalk Maslakhaty to report GDP growth of 6.3%

Turkmenistan's highest body of people's power - Khalk Maslakhaty - is preparing for a September meeting to discuss new goals to achieve a prosperous life for the country's population. Arzuw.news reports with reference to the publication Turkmenistan: Golden Age.

During the incomplete three years of its functioning, Halk Maslakhaty has demonstrated the effectiveness of its work, successfully implementing strategic decisions and national development programs. The body was established in January 2023 with the authority to adopt the constitution, constitutional laws and determine the main directions of domestic and foreign policy of the state.

At the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on August 29, 2024, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov announced the achievement of GDP growth rate of 6.3 percent. This result was a consequence of the implementation of the National Program of Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan for 2022-2052.

Compared to the same period of 2024, the indicators of manufactured products, retail and foreign trade turnover, as well as the volume of capital investments have increased.

On February 20 this year, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty, National Leader of the Turkmen people Hero Arkadag emphasized the focus of efforts on the dynamic development of the state within the framework of the International Year of Peace and Trust.

The work of the Khalk Maslakhaty is based on the principles of democracy, transparency, justice, the rule of law and respect for human rights. Turkmenistan continues to pursue a multifaceted foreign policy, actively developing relations with the international community on the basis of universal human values.
