An exhibition in Brussels on Central Asian art was held at the EEAS office building on Tuesday, January 17, 2023. This was reported by the online edition of Business Turkmenistan.
The opening ceremony was addressed by officials: Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Central Asia to Belgium, EEAS Secretary General Stefano Sannino, EU Special Representative for Central Asia Teri Hakala.
Sapar Palvanov, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Belgium, noted in his speech the importance of the exhibition, which provides an opportunity to trace the relationship between the cultural traditions of the Central Asian states.
He also stressed the readiness to continue cooperation with various countries of the Central Asian region, noting the strengthening of trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
The participants of the event learned about the cultural traditions and history of Central Asian countries. Turkmen national jewelry, handicrafts, carpets with original ornaments were demonstrated at the exhibition.
