The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held a large-scale meeting dedicated to declaring 2023 the "International Year of Dialogue as a Guarantee of Peace. The event was held in a hybrid format. This is reported on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the main UN bodies and member states of the Organization, members of international and regional organizations, public representatives, students and teachers of Turkmen universities.
2023 has been declared the "International Year of Dialogue as a Guarantee for Peace" in accordance with UN General Assembly resolution 77/32 on the initiative of Turkmenistan.
Leaders and representatives of the UN spoke at the January 27 meeting. The consistent work of the authorities of Turkmenistan to promote a culture of peace and constructive dialogue as the main means of establishing mutual understanding among states was noted positively.
