Turkmen delegation pays visit to Tokyo to promote scientific and technical cooperation

A Turkmen delegation headed by Rector of Oguzkhan G. Mezilov of the Oguzkhan University of Engineering and Technology visited Tokyo on October 3-4, 2025 to strengthen scientific and technical cooperation. It is reported Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the visit, meetings were held with representatives of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Center for Innovation in Nanomedicine, Tohkemy Corporation and the Turkmen-Japanese Association for Scientific and Technical Cooperation.

The main areas of discussion were expansion of educational programs and academic exchange, development of cooperation in the field of nanomedicine and high technologies, as well as implementation of joint research projects. Special attention was paid to the training of Turkmen specialists and introduction of Japanese technologies in Turkmenistan, including the project of water purification system.

The visit contributed to the identification of concrete steps for further development of mutually beneficial partnership between the two countries.
