An event to mark the 300th anniversary of Makhtumkuli Fraghi was held in Iran

A festive event dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of prominent philosopher and poet of Turkmenistan Makhtumkuli Fraghi was held in the building of Tehran University on May 12. This is reported on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The festive event was held with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance of IRI with the participation of the Association of Culture, Poetry and Eminent Persons of Iran, the Parliament of the President of Iran. The concert was also attended by representatives of Iran's clergy, honorable elders, scholars and specially invited guests.

Experts, diplomats, politicians and scientists took the stage of the university. After the speakers' speeches on the life and creative path of the great thinker Makhtumkuli Fraghi, representatives of the Turkmen Diaspora organized a festive concert.
