The final of the international competition "Falling Walls Lab" was held in Turkmenistan

The national final of the international contest "Falling Walls Lab" was held in the building of GAKHT, as reported in the newspaper "Neutral Turkmenistan".

The competition is an initiative of the German Federal Foreign Office and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). This platform has brought together leaders in science, business, politics and the arts. The main goal of this competition is to identify talented scientists who have breakthrough ideas but are only at the beginning of their careers.

Turkmenistan was represented at the international competition by scientists from 12 leading universities and professional structures of the country. The winner was Eziz Artykov, who presented a new variety of rice with increased yield. The main prize of the winner was a trip to Germany to participate in the finals of the competition and the Falling Walls Science Summit scientific forum.

The second step of the podium was taken by Selbi Ashirberdyeva for developing a treatment for chronic wounds after burns. Third place went to Arslankerim Kerimov, who proposed to create a polymodal corridor through Central Asia.
