Composer and pianist from Turkmenistan Mamed Huseynov took part in a tribute concert to Elena Obraztsova, which was held in the Russian city of Kaliningrad. This is reported on the Orient news website.
At the concert, which took place last Friday at the E.F. Svetlanov Philharmonic Hall in Kaliningrad, Mamed Huseynov and his wife Daria presented their own works as well as compositions by the outstanding composer Sergei Rachmaninoff.
The event was dedicated to Elena Obraztsova, a legendary opera singer whose mezzo-soprano voice was recognized as the best in world music culture. Elena Obraztsova's performance of Carmen is still a benchmark today.
The concert was concluded by presenting the artists with original memorable gifts decorated with nuggets of Kaliningrad amber.
