The State Customs Service of Turkmenistan has installed information kiosks at border customs posts of the country in order to improve the activities of customs authorities. This was reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
The installed equipment will allow all interested parties to quickly and conveniently familiarize themselves with the rules of customs clearance. The kiosks are interactive information terminals. With their help, it is possible to find out the amounts of customs duties and fees and get all the necessary information about customs procedures.
The data are presented in Turkmen, languages of the Central Asian region, Russian, English and Turkish. The installation and use of information terminals as part of the customs modernization strategy will help stimulate international trade.
