The Football Federation of Turkmenistan has set the date for the start of the Turkmenistan-2020 Football Championship. The tournament will start on March 6. This is announced on the official website of the Federation. Eight clubs will take part in the 28th championship:
FC "Altyn Asyr" (Ashgabat)
FC "Akhal" (Annau town of Akhal province)
FC "Shagadam" (Turkmenbashi town of Balkan province)
FC "Kopetdag" (Ashgabat)
FC Energetik (Mary province)
FC "Ashgabat" (Ashgabat city)
FC "Nebitchi" (Balkanabad town of Balkan province)
FC "Merv" (Mary town of Mary province)
Altyn Asyr" will defend the title of the Champion of Turkmenistan. In the first round, "Svyazhysty" will host last season's outsider - "Merv". Vice-champion "Akhal" will meet with "Nebitchi". "Kopetdag" will play with "Energetik", and "Ashgabat" will go to visit "Shagadam".
