"Arkadag" will make its debut in the AFC Champions League-2

Soccer club Arkadag will today play its first match in the group stage of the AFC Champions League-2 season 2025/2026. The champion of Turkmenistan and winner of the AFC Challenge League will meet Uzbek club "Andijan" at the home stadium in the city of Arkadag. The match will start at 18:45 local time. Before the start of the tournament, Arkadag's management appointed Rovshan Mukhadov as head coach for participation in the Asian club tournament. The specialist has a coaching category PRO.

The head coach of the Turkmen club said that the team was almost 100 percent ready for the debut performance in the prestigious tournament. Mukhadov noted that the coaching staff thoroughly studied the strengths and weaknesses of the Uzbek opponent and expressed confidence in the strength of his charges.

The Arkadag head coach emphasized the high level of the tournament, mentioning the participation of the Saudi team Al Nasr with Cristiano Ronaldo - winner of five golden goals and European champion.

For his part, Andijan head coach Maksym Shatskikh said that all four teams of the group pursue the same goal - to make it to the playoffs of the tournament. The Ukrainian specialist emphasized a serious attitude to the upcoming match, given that the majority of Arkadag players are players of the national team of Turkmenistan.

Both teams had a quality preparation for the match, having analyzed each other's game in detail, and are set to fight hard for the first points in the group stage.
