The conference dedicated to the Turkmen classics was held in Tbilisi

On April 18, a scientific-practical conference dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of Turkmen poet and philosopher Makhtumkuli Fraghi was held in Tbilisi. This was reported by the TurkmenPortal online edition.

The event was organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Georgia together with the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia. The forum was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, diplomats accredited in Georgia, the head of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, representatives of the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia, the Georgian National Manuscripts Center named after K. Kekelidze and the Creative Union of Writers, heads of universities and media.

The conference was addressed by Ambassador of Turkmenistan D. Seyitmammedov. Seyitmammedov, President of the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia R. Metreveli, President of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan A. Ashirov. An exhibition of books and arts and crafts of Turkmenistan was organized as part of the forum.
