As part of the "Back to School" campaign, Turkmenistan hosted an event organized by the EU Delegation in the country together with the public organization "Yenme" and the Center for Support of People with Disabilities of Turkmenistan. This is reported by the Internet edition "TurkmenPortal.
As part of the event, 50 children from vulnerable families and children with disabilities received gifts from the EU Delegation - backpacks and school supplies. This is the third year that the EU Delegation has organized this event to support vulnerable families and children with disabilities. According to the organizers, inspired by this example, other embassies and organizations of Turkmenistan are now conducting similar events.
Ambassador Beata Peksa took part in the gift-giving ceremony. Addressing the children, she emphasized the importance of education and expressed the EU's support on behalf of the EU on the path to knowledge.
