Turkmenistan participated in the OSCE Ministerial Council meeting

On December 5 and 6, the Turkmen delegation participated in the 31st meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council held in the Republic of Malta. This is reported by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

More than 30 foreign ministers from OSCE participating States took part in the event. The meeting discussed the functioning of the OSCE as well as topical issues related to security in the current global agenda. A number of appointments were made to senior positions in the Organization and the OSCE budget for the coming year was set.

The delegation from Turkmenistan was headed by Myahri Bashimova, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. In her speech at the plenary session, she emphasized the importance of Turkmenistan's partnership with the OSCE in strengthening stability in the Central Asian region.
