Turkmenistan celebrates independence anniversary with a gala event in London

The Embassy of Turkmenistan in the United Kingdom organized a gala event and exhibition in London on the occasion of Independence Day. The event was attended by Turkmen students, compatriots living in the UK, representatives of the Galkynysh branch of the Humanitarian Association of Turkmens of the World and diplomats. It is reported Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan. 

Addressing the audience, Ambassador of Turkmenistan Y. Seriaev noted the achievements of the country during the years of independence, successful implementation of domestic and foreign policy under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people. The importance of the legal status of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan, confirmed three times by the UN, was emphasized.

The event also highlighted the significance of the upcoming representative Forum in Ashgabat in December 2025 and other international events within the framework of the proclaimed International Year of Peace and Confidence.

An exhibition of books on the neutrality and modern achievements of Turkmenistan, a photo exhibition demonstrating the country's successes and a video about the development of the state were organized for the guests. The performance of Turkmen folk songs on dutar aroused special interest.
