Celebration in honor of the anniversary of Turkmenistan's Independence was held in Astrakhan

A solemn event in honor of the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence was held at the Caspian Sea and River Transport Institute named after Admiral General F.M. Apraksin. This is reported by the online edition "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

The event was attended by the Consul of Turkmenistan in Astrakhan, representatives of the authorities of the Astrakhan region and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, teachers, students, as well as pupils of the secondary school named after Makhtumkuli Fraghi from the village of Funtovo.

Addressing the audience, Consul G. Ilamanov emphasized the historical significance of Turkmenistan's independence and the country's achievements over 34 years. He noted the positive dynamics of scientific, cultural and humanitarian cooperation with Russia, implementation of joint projects, as well as the importance of the decisions of the recent meeting of the Khalk Maslakhaty.

The cultural program, including poetry recitation, singing Turkmen folk songs and playing the dutar, ended with a traditional kushtdepdi dance. At the end of the concert, a patriotic talk with Turkmen students was held to highlight Turkmenistan's state youth policy.
