Ashgabat hosted a reception in honor of the 76th anniversary of the formation of the People's Republic of China

A solemn reception on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China was held in the capital of Turkmenistan. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Turkmenistan Ji Shumin in his speech noted China's significant achievements in socio-economic development, aerospace, high-speed railroads and other high-tech areas. He emphasized that under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and National Leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Turkmenistan has made impressive achievements in developing and strengthening international peace.

In his speech, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov pointed out the importance of expanding cooperation in non-resource sectors, including transportation, communications and textile industry. Special attention was paid to cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

Within the framework of the event the guests familiarized themselves with the photo exhibition dedicated to the history of bilateral relations, and also had an opportunity to try on traditional Chinese costumes and taste national dishes.
