Turkmen theater receives prestigious award at international festival

The State Drama Theater named after Saparmurat Turkmenbashi from the Balkan province was awarded at the III International TURKSOY Theater Festival in Aktau. The Turkmen team received a special prize in the nomination "For popularization of national traditions" for the play "Baýram han türkmen". It is reported MIC. 

According to TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Rayev, the festival united creative teams from nine countries, including Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey and Uzbekistan. The language of theater has become an effective means of cultural dialogue between peoples.

In addition to the competition program, the festival included master classes and seminars, where theatrical figures were able to exchange professional experience. The participants were also familiarized with exhibitions of theatrical costumes, arts and crafts and national musical instruments.
