Turkmen audience appreciated the skill of Korean opera singers

The Week of Korean Culture ended in Ashgabat, the final event of which was a concert of opera soloists from the Republic of Korea. Tenor Kwon Hwapyeong and mezzo-soprano Kwon Miji performed on the stage of the National Music and Drama Theater named after Makhtumkuli. About it reports online edition "Turkmenistan: The Golden Age."

Accompanied by the State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan conducted by Rasul Klychev, the artists presented a program that included Korean lyrical compositions and world classics. At the end of the performance, the singers expressed their gratitude for the warm welcome.

Tenor Kwon Hwapyeong noted that this was his third visit to Turkmenistan, and each concert on the Turkmen stage was accompanied by special feelings. He described his performances as a valuable cultural exchange and emphasized his desire to learn more about the country's national traditions and musical heritage.

Kwon Miji, who also participated in the Culture Days last year, added that despite touring various countries, Turkmenistan remains a unique place for her and she is eager to return.

The event, organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea and the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan, was evidence of the dynamically developing humanitarian cooperation. Interest in the development of dialogue is also evident in the educational sphere, where the King Sejong Korean Education Center has been successfully operating at the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages for the sixth year already.
