Turkmenistan participated in the Second CA+Japan Dialogue

Delegation of Turkmenistan participated in the Second Ministerial Dialogue on Economy and Energy in the format "Central Asia + Japan"

Ministries of fuel and energy sector of Central Asian countries and Japan agreed to strengthen cooperation in the field of renewable energy and achieving carbon neutrality. The relevant decisions were made on September 16 at the Second Ministerial Dialogue on Economy and Energy in the format "Central Asia + Japan". The event was chaired by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan in a mixed format using video link and personal presence of the participants. Heads of specialized agencies of all Central Asian states took part in the dialog.

The participants focused on strengthening the energy partnership between the region and Japan. The parties discussed the prospects of introducing new technologies in the energy sector and ways to achieve sustainable economic development.

The meeting resulted in an agreement to develop and support joint projects in the field of renewable energy sources. The participants confirmed their intention to work towards achieving carbon neutrality in the region's fuel and energy sector.
