A monument to Tajik poet Saido Nasafi Mirobid will be erected in the new Cultural Park Complex in Ashgabat. This is reported by the TurkmenPortal online edition.
During the official two-day visit of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Tajikistan, he informed President Emomali Rahmon about the decision to erect a monument in the Turkmen capital.
Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan said that the Makhtumkuli Fraghi Cultural and Park Complex is currently under construction in the south of Ashgabat, where monuments to prominent foreign writers and poets, including the Tajik poet of the Middle Ages Saido Nasafi Mirobid, will be erected.
This monument will become a symbol of historical friendship between the peoples of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
The construction of the park and installation of monuments are timed to the 300th anniversary of the birth of Makhtumkuli Fraghi.
