The 46th meeting of the Intergovernmental Council for Cooperation in the field of veterinary medicine of the CIS countries was held in Ashgabat on October 22. This is reported by the Internet edition "Westiabad."
The current topics of safety of animal products as a key aspect for the growth of agricultural exports were discussed. The meeting participants discussed the efficient work of veterinary services and the creation of conditions for the development of livestock farming, which will contribute to increasing the number of jobs in the region.
Following the results of the meeting of the Intergovernmental Council on Veterinary Cooperation, 12 decisions were adopted on further development of cooperation, countering the spread of animal diseases, improving the quality of products and ensuring food security.
