The first day of the World Cup-2023 Kurash competition is over in Ashgabat

The first day of the 14th World Kurash Wrestling Championship has ended today. This is reported by the Internet publication "Türkmenistan Habarlar Portaly".

During the first day of the tournament there were fights among men in weight categories up to 90 kg, up to 100 kg and over 100 kg, among women - in weight categories up to 48 kg, up to 52 kg, up to 57 kg, up to 63 kg and up to 70 kg.

Dinara Rozykulova and Maria Lokhova of the Turkmen women's team managed to win gold medals. The Turkmen national team also won three silver medals. They were won by Ainur Amanova, Aishirin Khaidarova and Sanjar Abdyrakhmanov.

Today the first award ceremony was held for the winners and runners-up of the championship, who were presented with medals, certificates and gifts.
