The issues of interstate relations and partnership in the format of world organizations were considered during the consultations of foreign ministers. The diplomats paid attention to environmental issues, in particular the efficient use of water resources, and discussed common interests in the energy and transport sectors and trade. The parties noted the important role of the Turkmen-Uzbek Intergovernmental Commission on economic, scientific, technical, and cultural interaction.
