Between the Turkmen State Concern Türkmennebit и by the Russian company Tatneft an additional agreement was made to extend cooperation. In accordance with this agreement, Russian partners will provide services to increase oil well flow rates for another 8 years.
A draft decree concerning the conclusion of this agreement was presented last Thursday by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Myratgeldi Meredov at a regular government meeting.
Turkmen leader Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov signed the Decree, which allowed the State Concern "Türkmennebit" to conclude an additional agreement with PJSC "Tatneft" (Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation). According to this document the Russian specialists will render services on increasing the oil well flow rate during 8 more years. The works will be carried out on the territory of Goturdepe deposits.
Collaboration Türkmennebit Group of Companies with Tatneft started in 2010 - At that time the companies entered into an agreement on well workover and oil recovery enhancement. The above-mentioned works were carried out on the territory of Goturdepe field. As a result, there were 128 wells were rehabilitated, and investments in this project exceeded $32 million.
Another agreement between the two companies was concluded in December 2018. It provided for workover operations at 88 wells. In order to fulfill the set task, the Turkmen branch of Tatneft additionally formed in Balkanabat 12 brigades of local specialists. In the course of the work performed 48 wells have already been commissioned. Attachments to the implementation of this project have exceeded $30 million.
In order to share experience and improve professional skills, specialists of Turkmenistan's oil and gas complex made visits to Tatneft's production facilities located in Nizhnekamsk and Almetyevsk.
