The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan took part in the organization of the third Forum of think tanks "China - Central Asia", which was held from 21 to 23 September in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province. This was reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
In addition, the Institute of Russia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the Institute of Strategic Studies of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan participated in the organization of the event.
The theme of the forum was improvement of socio-economic situation of the forum member countries, deepening and expansion of interregional cooperation. As it was noted, one of the priority areas of cooperation between the CA countries and the PRC is the energy sector. The transport sector was also recognized as an important segment of cooperation.
