Art exhibition to mark Independence Day opened in Ashgabat

Independence of the Fatherland through the eyes of artists of the young generation

The State Museum of Fine Arts has opened an exhibition of works by Turkmen artists timed to the upcoming Independence Day of Turkmenistan. The exposition united works of contemporary authors and works from the museum funds, designed to demonstrate patriotic pride for the country's achievements in the years of independence. Students of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan took an active part in the exhibition, presenting new paintings in poster style. Among the works presented, Sulgun Gurbandurdiyeva's painting "Arkadag - City of Prosperity" stands out. It depicts two hemispheres with Turkmen ornaments framed by wheat spikelets and national gyols.

Byagul Gibayeva created the work "Peaceful Homeland", showing the Turkmen capital from a bird's-eye view. Kyade Taganova in her work "Peaceful Country - Friendly Nation" depicted the state flags of Turkmenistan and other countries, emphasizing the motto of the year - International Year of Peace and Trust.

Niyazmurat Dovodov's painting "My Homeland" depicting green fields, a railroad and the Kopetdag Mountains was presented from the museum's storerooms. The exhibition was complemented by sculptures of small forms, including works by Juma Jumadurda "Melody", "Dance", "Kushtdepdi", Alexey Shchetinin's work "Dance of a Dzhigit" and a multi-figure composition "Labor Victories".
