On August 12, the Turkmendenizderyaellary agency launched a five-day training to improve the professional skills of maritime personnel. This is reported by the Internet edition "TurkmenPortal.
The training is conducted within the framework of the International Maritime Organization Convention on the Training, Certification and Watchkeeping of Seafarers. The training course will contribute to the improvement of maritime navigation safety in the Caspian Sea region and development of the maritime industry of Turkmenistan.
Training participants will be able to improve and update their skills in accordance with international standards.
It should be reminded that Turkmenistan joined the STCW Convention in May 2009, which indicates the state's commitment to high international standards in the field of navigation.
