Avaza, July 18 - Arzuw.news. In early August, the Avaza National Tourist Zone will become a venue for the Youth Forum within the framework of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries. This is reported by the State Information Agency of Turkmenistan.
The Conference is organized jointly with the Government of Turkmenistan and includes a number of events aimed at activation of international youth partnership. All planned events are in line with the objectives of the UN Youth Strategy "Youth-2030" and are designed to establish a dialog between young people of different cultures and regions.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov defined youth policy as the most important priority of the state. The country has adopted and is implementing the concepts of development of digital education, teaching of foreign languages, natural and exact sciences, as well as the concept of improvement of teaching methods until 2028.
UNESCO Chairs have been established at the Makhtumkuli Turkmen State University and the Seyitnazar Seidi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute as part of the development of the educational system. A new version of the Law of Turkmenistan "On State Youth Policy" was adopted and the State Program on Youth Policy for 2021-2025 was approved.
The Makhtumkuli Youth Organization of Turkmenistan was granted the status of an official member of the UNESCO Global Youth Community. The Strategy of International Cooperation of Youth of Turkmenistan for 2023-2030 was also adopted.
In September 2023, at the fifth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of Central Asian States, an Agreement on common directions of youth policy was signed. In October of the same year Turkmenistan organized the International Youth Forum "Dialogue - Guarantee of Peace", and in November the Forum of Youth of Central Asia and China "New Era of the Great Silk Road" was held.
The upcoming forum in Avaza will be held within the framework of the "International Year of Peace and Trust" and in the year of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality and the 80th anniversary of the UN.
