Viksit Bharat, an Indian initiative, brought together participants in Ashgabat

A three-kilometer run organized by the Embassy of India in Turkmenistan as part of the Viksit Bharat Run 2025 initiative was held in Ashgabat's Olympic City, the online news site reported. TerraNews.

The event was attended by employees of the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports, representatives of the Indian diaspora, diplomats, sports enthusiasts and citizens.

The run is being held as part of India's national Viksit Bharat program to develop the country comprehensively by 2047, when India will celebrate 100 years of independence.

Counselor and Charge d'Affaires at the Embassy of India, Ganesh Khaloi, said similar runs with the same motto have already been held in more than 150 cities across the world.
