Young Turkmen chess players successfully played on the 1st day of the World Championship in Georgia

The World Chess Championship started in Batumi, Georgia, where young Turkmen chess players played their first games today, June 7. This is reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

The Turkmen team included 12 best young chess players of the country - 6 boys and 6 girls, who play in different age categories from 8 to 18 years old.

After the first day of the tournament two Turkmen chess players M. Avlyakuliev (under 8 years old category) and A. Batyrov (under 10 years old category) with the maximum possible number of points occupy the first lines of the tournament table together with several chess players from other countries.

Among girls and girls from the Turkmen national team L. Shokhradova with two points shares 6-8 places with her rivals and is only half a point behind the leading group. Shohradova with two points shares with her rivals the 6th-8th places in the table and is only half a point behind the leading group.

The Turkmen team is headed by honored coach of the country S. Annaberdyev and head of the delegation S. Jumaguliyeva. The tournament will end on June 8.
