The new complex includes an administrative building equipped with advanced technologies for round-the-clock monitoring of the state border, a training ground, a canteen, a cultural center for 300 people, a barracks, a medical clinic, sports facilities and service and welfare facilities.
Four residential complexes with 36 apartments for 144 military families have been built on the territory. The infrastructure is supplemented with a store, children's playgrounds and sports grounds.
The head of state familiarized himself with new military equipment with high combat characteristics and modern military uniforms for border guards. President Berdimuhamedov handed the keys to the new vehicles to the Head of the State Border Guard Service.
The medical center of the complex is equipped with modern technology to provide qualified medical care to border guards and their families.
Earlier, on September 6, at a meeting of the State Security Council, the results of the work of the military and law enforcement agencies for eight months of this year were considered. Secretary of the Council, Defense Minister B. Gundogdiyev reported on the readiness to open the Serakhs border guard unit.
The opening of the complex is timed to the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence and demonstrates the strengthening of the material and technical base of the country's Armed Forces.
