From February 2, 2021 private companies in Turkmenistan have the opportunity to apply for the competition for the introduction of ISO standards. Such an offer will be interesting both for companies that intend to export their own products and for those that intend to interact with foreign firms. The competition for applications is organized in accordance with the program of introducing and certifying management principles to ISO 14001 "Environment management" and ISO 45001 "Labour protection and occupational safety" standards.
Organizations in Turkmenistan seeking to achieve a transnational level for their products, to increase the efficiency of production and their own competitiveness, wishing to become participants in public procurement, where it is important to provide proof of ISO certification, can apply by going to by clicking.
The project is aimed at producers in Turkmenistan working in the food, textile and light industries (including footwear production), leather goods, household chemicals and hygiene products, as well as in carpet weaving. However, firms in other industries are also welcome to apply.
If a company producing a certain type of product has ISO certificates, it means that customers can be assured that such products meet global quality, safety, and environmental standards. Manufacturers of Turkmenistan, who have certification ISO 45001, ISO 14001, will be able to conclude deals in the world market more easily.
The selection process is competitive. As a result of consideration of submitted questionnaires, four companies from Turkmenistan will be selected. Their costs of introducing and certifying the standards will be reimbursed in half by USAID projects aimed at improving business (FGI) and safe migration in the Central Asian region (SMICA).
