Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov today held telephone talks with his Kazakh counterpart Murat Nurtleu.
The diplomats focused on the key areas of bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan. Coordination of efforts to prepare for the upcoming Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries took a special place in the agenda.
This conference, known as LLDC 3, is an important international platform for discussing the problems of states without direct access to sea routes. Both Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan belong to the category of such countries and are interested in developing joint approaches to address the challenges involved.
The telephone conversation between the foreign ministers of the two neighboring states underscores the desire of the sides to deepen cooperation at the regional and international levels.
