Starting January 1 of the coming year, the "Sea Commercial Fleet" of Turkmenistan will begin feeder transportation of cargoes on the ship "Balkan". Container feeder shipments will be carried out between Turkmenbashi and Baku. This will allow fast transportation of general cargo in containers between the two countries on a regular basis.
This format of transportation will make the international transportation of goods more profitable for both the carrier and the sender.
Turkmenbashi International Port allows for the transportation of about 400 thousand containers per year. This is achieved by equipping the port with modern STS-type quay cranes, which have the capacity to handle 15 containers of cargo per hour.
In addition, the period of free storage of containers at the Container Terminal has been increased to 60 days, which will make cargo transportation even more profitable.
