Swimmers from Turkmenistan won 19 medals at the Asian Championship

Turkmen athletes won 19 medals at the Asian Open Aquatics Championships that ended in Bangkok. The final day of the competition brought 6 awards to swimmers from Turkmenistan. At the same time, five times the athletes climbed to the top step of the podium. This is reported by the Internet portal orient news.

Gold on the final day were won by: M. Ataev (200 meters backstroke), M. Jalaev (50 meters freestyle), A. Morgenstern (50 meters freestyle), D. Hakobyan (50 meters freestyle).

According to the results of the Open Asian Aquatics Championship, which was held in Thailand from March 3 to 5, 2023, Turkmen swimmers won 12 gold medals, 6 silver and 1 bronze out of 19 awards. The best athletes from 12 Asian countries took part in the Championship. Athletes competed in the main disciplines, diving and water polo.
