National leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov paid a working visit to the city of Arkadag, during which he familiarized himself with the activities of the International Association of Akhal-Teke Horse Breeding (MAAK) and preparations for the National Day of the Turkmen Horse, TDH reports.
Heading to the venue of the upcoming festivities, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty listened to the report of Vice President of the International Association of Akhal-Teke Horse Breeding B. Redzhepov, who spoke about the activities of the Association's subdivisions and preparations for the National Day of the Turkmen Horse.
The Vice President noted that this year there was a large number of offspring, which led to an increase in the number of Akhalteke racehorses.
Having visited the newborn foal, the National Leader of the Turkmen people gave him the name Shahyr. With best wishes, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty tied "alaju" on the colt's neck (national amulet item - ed.).
The national leader stressed that the birth of the foal in these spring days was a joyful event, noting that Shakhir already knows how to keep his head straight and has a unique coloring.
Chairman of Khalk Maslakhaty also emphasized the need to make every effort to preserve and develop the Akhalteke breed, bred by ancestors, at the present level, as well as to form a new, more perfect generation of horse breeders.
