Turkmenistan and Turkey discussed cooperation in UNESCO

Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Turkmenistan Ahmed Demirok. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the talks held today, the diplomats considered the priority directions of the Turkmen-Turkish agenda and topical issues of bilateral cooperation of mutual interest.

The participants of the meeting paid special attention to the interaction of the two states on the platforms of international structures. In particular, the parties stressed the importance of joint work within UNESCO to maintain and promote intangible cultural heritage.

The meeting was held within the framework of the regular political dialog between Turkmenistan and Turkey aimed at strengthening traditional friendly relations between the two countries.
