President Serdar Berdimuhamedov chaired a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Thursday, August 31, where important issues of state life were discussed and draft documents were considered, the State News Agency reported.
Chairman of Mejlis G. Mammadova informed the participants of the meeting about lawmaking activities, inter-parliamentary cooperation and preparations for the upcoming Halk Maslakhaty. Deputy Chairman H. Geldimuradov reported on financial and economic measures taken recently.
Deputy Chairman B. Annamammedov spoke about the increase in production capacity at the plants of Turkmenkhimiya. A new residential complex will be built for specialists of Turkmenkhimiya. Deputy Chairman T. Atdaev talked about Turkmenistan's preparations for participation in EXPO-2023 in Qatar.
Deputy Chairman M. Mammadov informed about the preparations for the events dedicated to the 32nd Independence Day of Turkmenistan. Deputy Chairman N. Amannepesov congratulated the President on Knowledge Day. An international online chemistry Olympiad will be held in November.
Foreign Minister R. Meredov reported on the development of international cooperation in the field of climate change, including proposals to open the UN Climate Technology Center in Ashgabat. Head of the Agency for Transport and Communications M. Chakyev discussed the modernization of the transport industry.
President Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of Knowledge Day and wished everyone success in the new academic year. The meeting also considered a number of draft documents to be adopted.
