Russia confirms Turkmenistan's participation in the North-South ITC Agreement

On July 11, Mikhail Mishustin agreed a proposal on Turkmenistan's participation in the Agreement on the North-South International Transport Corridor. This is reported on the website "Centralasia.news".

The Order adopted by the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation states that the Russian Ministry of Transport has accepted Turkmenistan's proposal, agreed with the Russian Foreign Ministry and other relevant agencies, on Turkmenistan's accession to the North-South ITC. The corresponding Order of the Government of the Russian Federation was published on the website of the state body.

Another party to the mentioned Agreement is Iran, which will be informed about Turkmenistan's accession to the project.

Turkmenistan, which has a favorable geographical location, has long expressed its intention to expand the geography of cargo flows and participate in the North-South ITC.
