A scientific conference on medicine of NAM member states will be held in Ashgabat

A scientific conference of medical and sanitary institutions of the NAM member states will be held in Ashgabat in 2023. The participants of this large-scale event will be experts, scientists and practicing doctors. This is reported by the newspaper "Neutral Turkmenistan".

Founded in 1961, the Non-Aligned Movement unites states that do not participate in military-political blocs and coexist peacefully on the principles of independence and equality. Today, the Non-Aligned Movement includes 120 states.

Azerbaijan and Fiji were the last countries to join the Movement. In 1961, observer status was introduced, and in 1970, guest status was introduced, which gives the opportunity to attend all open-ended NAM events. Today, the number of NAM observers is 18 countries and 11 organizations.
