Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers

On November 15, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers to discuss the key tasks of socio-economic development of the country, consider drafts of a number of documents, as well as some other issues, TDH reports.

In the course of the meeting the Chairperson of Mejlis D. Gulmanova informed about the ongoing activities on further improvement of the legislation of the country

In particular, it was reported on the preparation of a new draft of the Civil Code of Turkmenistan, on the introduction of amendments and additions to a number of existing legislative acts regulating civil legal relations, issues related to administrative offenses, taxes, development of road transport, state and diplomatic service.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers H. Geldimiradov reported on the work done in accordance with the instructions of the President of the country on the preparation of the draft State Budget of Turkmenistan for 2025.

As noted, the main financial document of the state is aimed at further successful implementation of large-scale reforms and strengthening the strength of the national economy.

The key tasks for the next year include maintaining macroeconomic stability, continuing the dynamic development of economic sectors and regions of the country, investing the bulk of investments in the radical modernization of production facilities, and further improving the living standards of the population.

During the report, the Deputy Prime Minister presented a draft of the relevant document for the consideration of the head of Turkmenistan.

It was stated that 40.1 billion manat is planned to be invested in the sectors of economy next year at the expense of all sources of financing.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed the relevant document and said that the draft State Budget of Turkmenistan for 2025 is being sent to the Mejlis of Turkmenistan for consideration.

Then, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B.Amanov reported on the measures being implemented to modernize the material and technical base of the enterprises of the State Concern "Türkmennebit".

As reported, the necessary steps are being taken to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the State Concern's Körpeje gas compressor station. In this context, the head of state signed the relevant Resolution.

Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atakhallyev reported on the measures being implemented in the agro-industrial sector, as well as on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the regions of the country.

In turn, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B.Annamammedov reported on steps to further strengthen and modernize the material and technical base of the domestic chemical industry, in particular, to ensure uninterrupted operation of enterprises under the State Concern "Türkmenhimiýa".

Then, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Atdaev reported on preparations for holding the Second Turkmen-Uzbek Interregional Forum and National Exhibition of Uzbek goods in Turkmenabat city of Lebap province on November 20-21 this year.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov summoned Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations B. Gochmollaev via video link and informed him of his dismissal from his post for serious shortcomings in his work.

Then, addressing Deputy Prime Minister B. Atdaev, the President of Turkmenistan emphasized that he had made a number of mistakes in the work of the country's trade complex and said that he was dismissing him from the post of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan as he had failed to cope with his duties.

In continuation of the session, the head of state summoned the head of the Board of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs N. Ataguliyev via video link and informed about his appointment to the post of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers on trade complex with a probation period of 6 months.

The President of the country entrusted Deputy Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations K. Kurbanov with temporary fulfillment of the duties of the Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations.

Then, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers M. Mammadova reported on the results of archaeological excavations and restoration works carried out in the spring and fall seasons of this year at historical and cultural monuments of the country.

Then, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan B. Orazdurdyeva informed about the preparations for the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Smart City: management technologies, digital, smart and AI-technologies, security, economy" to be held on December 18 at the Oguz Khan Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan.

Next, Deputy Prime Minister reported on the preparations for the ceremony of awarding the laureates of the Youth Award of Turkmenistan.

Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs R. Meredov reported on the measures taken to improve information support of foreign policy activities.

As reported, the desire to comprehensively improve the work of the diplomatic service under the visionary leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov is expressed in new targeted endeavors. This is fully confirmed by the launch of the Department of Foreign Policy Information and Digital Diplomacy within the structure of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on August 1 this year.

The main goal of the Department is to increase the effectiveness of the use of means in the international information space in the context of the realization of the country's foreign policy and the international community's awareness of Turkmenistan through modern tools and methods, public diplomacy and new information and communication means.

Proposals have been prepared for its successful achievement.

For many years, information about the domestic and foreign policy of Turkmenistan has been covered to a certain extent through the embassies of our country abroad. In order to strengthen information activities in foreign countries, it is proposed to establish the post of press attaché in the diplomatic missions of some countries.

Today Turkmenistan's cooperation with international organizations, first of all with the UN, is expanding in key directions, and in this regard it was proposed to establish interaction with the UN Department of Global Communications.

In addition, in order to coordinate the scientific and practical journal "Foreign Policy and Diplomacy of Turkmenistan" and specialized foreign publications, it is proposed to conclude bilateral cooperation agreements and accredit the journal's correspondents abroad.

Measures are being taken to apply digital information technologies in the context of Turkmenistan's international cooperation. In order to scale and centralize the work and developments in the digital system, taking into account that our country has capable young people who specialize in this field, it is proposed to form a special zone - Digital Integration - based on international practice.

However, a number of other suggestions were voiced.

Then Director General of the Agency of Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers M. Chakyev reported on the ongoing work on the development of the supervised industry, in particular, to strengthen the material and technical base of railway transport, as well as to create more favorable working conditions for employees.

As it was noted, in accordance with the Program of the President of Turkmenistan for socio-economic development of the country in 2022-2028 in the coming years, it is planned to build modern buildings of railway stations in etraps and cities, and the necessary work is being done in this regard.

A proposal to this effect has been submitted to the Head of State for his consideration.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that effective activities are being carried out in the country to create more favorable conditions for passengers and employees of the railway transport industry, and modern railway stations are being put into operation.

Supporting the proposal to build Dushak and Bamy railway stations in Ahal velayat, Jebel in Balkan region, Bayramali in Mary velayat in accordance with the adopted program, the head of state instructed the head of the Agency to work in this direction.

At the meeting of the Government a number of other issues of state life were also considered, on which appropriate decisions were made.
