Turkmenistan Women's Union won the CAREC Prize

The Women's Union of Turkmenistan is a major social institution of the country, which unites many thousands of women who take an active part in creative reforms and endeavors of modern society. In late November this year, the Central Council of the Union of Women of Turkmenistan was awarded the prestigious Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Prize for work to promote gender equality. Today, Turkmen women hold responsible positions in State structures, participate in foreign policy and are engaged in business.
