Talks between the leaders of Turkmenistan and India were held

Serdar Berdymukhamedov and Ram Nath Kovind held official talks in the Turkmen capital today in the context of expanding the comprehensive partnership and diplomatic cooperation.

The constructive outcome of the conversation was the signing of four memorandums on partnership in various areas. The memorandums concern financial monitoring, youth policy, culture, ensuring security of citizens and the state in the direction of joint elimination of emergencies. The heads of states discussed energy issues, in particular they touched upon the construction of the TAPI gas pipeline. They also touched on transport - the leaders acknowledged that bilateral partnership in this area is of strategic importance.

The talks were followed by a press conference at which Serdar Berdymukhamedov emphasized mutual understanding with the Indian leader and similar views on the main topics of international politics.
