The first meeting of the heads of customs services of Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and China on simplification of customs clearance was held on April 21, 2023. This is reported on the official website of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed such areas of cooperation as simplification of customs clearance between the states, cooperation within the framework of the "Single Window" project, exchange of experience in the implementation of "Smart Customs", mutual recognition of the status of authorized economic operator, countering customs crimes and effective exchange of preliminary data.
The participating countries approved the draft regulations on the work of the mechanism of meetings of the heads of customs services of Central Asian countries and China. The second meeting of the heads of customs services is scheduled for 2025, according to preliminary information, it will be held in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
