The coaching staff of Turkmenistan has determined the athletes who will represent the country at the championship

Turkmenistan's weightlifting coaching staff has determined the composition of athletes who will represent the country at the Asian Weightlifting Championship. This is reported by the TurkmenPortal online edition.
The sports tournament will be held in Tashkent from February 3 to 10, 2024.

The women's weightlifting team included Kristina Shermetova and Yulduz Dzhumabaeva in the weight category up to 55 kg, Polina Gurieva in the weight category up to 76 kg and Anamjan Rustamova in the weight category up to 81 kg.

Among men Turkmenistan will be represented by Seitjan Mirzaev in the category up to 61 kg, Bunyad Rashidov and Bektimur Reimov in the category up to 73 kg, Maksad Meredov in the category up to 81 kg, Gaigysyz Toraev in the category up to 89 kg, Shahzatbek Matyakubov in the category up to 96 kg and Khojamuhammet Toichiev in the category over 109 kg.

Having successfully performed at the Asian Championship, Turkmen athletes have a chance to gain rating points before the Olympics in Paris.
