Turkish Airlines announced the continuation of the cancellation of international flights until May 1. In this regard, the company offers passengers of flights scheduled for April 3 options to resolve the situation.
The first, a refund of the money spent by the customer on the ticket. The second, a rescheduling of the departure date of the required route to another date within a year. The third option is exchanging the ticket for miles under the Miles & Smiles loyalty program. The proposed rate is 1000 bonus miles for 10 euros of the ticket price. The customer can use the miles received when purchasing new tickets or to upgrade the class of service at Turkish Airlines.
To support active travelers who are forced to stay home because of the airline shutdown, Turkish Airlines has offered its status customers some indulgences. For example, to protect the benefits of existing Miles & Smiles customers, the company extended the status and free upgrade period by six months. Turkish Airlines also reported doubling its status mileage purchase limits.
The airline hopes for a speedy end to the Covid-19 pandemic, enabling it to resume operations at full scale.
