The third session of the Technical Body on Implementation of the TIR Customs Convention was held, which dealt with the use of the e-TIR electronic system for the international transport of goods. Representatives of the Turkmen State Customs Service actively participated in the session.
The international electronic system e-TIR is the most important tool of modern customs services. Its application allows the rapid exchange of data on the transit of goods between states, as well as providing convenience and simplicity of work of national customs authorities.
The advantages of the information system is the accuracy of delivery of goods in international cargo shipments, the acceleration of bringing goods to market, which will affect the growth of income and development of the economy.
This system is implemented and successfully operates in many countries of the region: Uzbekistan, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Pakistan.
