Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Romania Annamammet Annaev met with Romanian Culture Minister Raluca Turkan to discuss the organization of joint cultural events. This is reported by the Internet publication "Vestiabad".
The Romanian side expressed interest in participating in the events dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the classic of Turkmen literature Makhtumkuli Fraghi. Romania also expressed its desire for cultural exchange, mutual visits of creative teams, establishment of long-term cooperation between the museums of the two countries.
The Turkmen side put forward proposals to hold Days of Turkmen Culture in Romania in 2025 and to erect a monument to Makhtumkuli Fraghi in Romania.
